Dr. Rajesh Bareja is a Professor of Medical Microbiology at the World College of Medical Sciences & Research, Jhajjar, Haryana, India, with more than 17 years of experience in medical education, diagnostic microbiology, and academic research. He has previously served as faculty at several reputed government and private medical institutions in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, contributing extensively to undergraduate and postgraduate medical training.
Dr. Bareja completed his postgraduate studies in Medical Microbiology at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University, and earned his Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology from Geetanjali University, Udaipur. His teaching portfolio includes MBBS, BDS, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory Technology, and postgraduate programs such as MD, MDS, and M.Sc., where he has been actively involved in both theoretical and practical instruction.
A seasoned Clinical Microbiologist, Dr. Bareja has broad expertise in bacteriology, virology, mycology, parasitology, and mycobacteriology, along with serological and immunological diagnostic techniques including ELISA and Western blotting. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he was deputed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and contributed to SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR testing at the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Bareilly.
He currently serves as Director of a Biosafety Level-2 (BSL-2) Laboratory and In-Charge of the Central Laboratory, and has also functioned as Nodal Officer of a COVID Hospital. Dr. Bareja is Associate Editor of the IP International Journal of Medical Microbiology and Tropical Diseases, a reviewer for multiple scientific journals, and an external examiner and Ph.D. co-supervisor.
Dr. Bareja is the author of seven academic textbooks and has published over 50 research papers in peerreviewed journals. His scholarly contributions and commitment to medical sciences have been recognised through multiple national and international awards, reflecting his continued dedication to education, research, and clinical microbiology.
