Interceptive orthodontics deals to intercept a malocclusion that has already developed or is developing. A malocclusion, if detected as early as possible, can be eliminated or made less severe, by the initiation of interceptive orthodontic procedures. Its always better to treat simple cases than complicated ones. Basically it deals with the treatment of mixed dentition phase. This book deals with all the procedures in detail which come under the mixed dentition phase, which is usually under 6–12 years of age.
Dr. Rashi Chauhan, who is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics in Buddha Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Patna. She graduated in Dentistry from Buddha Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Patna, and specialized in Orthodontics from Kothiwal Dental College, Moradabad. She has the teaching experience of 6 years. The author’s academic potential was in both undergraduate and postgraduate. She stood first in many subjects during the course.
Dr. Amit Kumar Singh, who is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology in Buddha Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Patna. He graduated in Dentistry from Buddha Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Patna, and specialized in Oral Medicine and Radiology from Kothiwal Dental College, Moradabad. He has the teaching experience of 7 years. He has delivered many guest lectures and has many National and International publications.
They have a keen interest in academics and this book deals with interceptive orthodontics in detail. The source of the material of this book was collected and organised in a very nice manner.
