Autogenous Maxillofacial Bone Grafting
Bone grafting is one of the most commonest operations performed in orthopaedics, reconstructive surgeries and maxillofacial surgery. Its indications include non-union, delayed union, packing bone cysts and cavities, elevating depressed articular fractures and reconstruction of large bone defects.
For small sized defects intra oral graft sites are often preferred in maxillofacial reconstruction because of its close proximity, but for large scale reconstruction extra-oral graft sites are preferred.
