Prof. Dr. Atul Choube MD had primary education in public schools and after passing the medical college entrance examination in 1970, he got admitted in Government Medical College. Upon completion of MBBS in 1975 with merit, he joined the Army Medical Corps as Captain in 1976. After 3 years of field service in the Army, he was selected to serve abroad on deputation to UN Army. Upon completion of his tenure abroad, he returned to duty in India and was selected to study MD Paediatrics from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, India. After completing MD, he served as faculty in many teaching hospitals of Armed Forces Medical Services till his retirement in 1996. Since then he has been working as Professor and Head of the Department of Paediatrics at various Medical Colleges in India. He has also served as an examiner for MD degree in many Universities of India. He has many publications to his credit in National and International journals. He has also written a dozen of books on topics pertaining to Paediatrics. Currently, he is a Professor and Head of the Department of Paediatrics in Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India. His area of special interest is Medical Education and Knowledge.
