Dr. Muzafar Ahmad Bhat is currently serving as a Lecturer at the P. G. Dept. of Sericulture, Poonch Camus, University of Jammu. His P. G. and Ph. D. degrees were earned at the University of Mysore. 30 of his original research papers have been published in reputable/ recommended national and international journals. In addition, he has authored many books and several book chapters. He occasionally attended Seminars, Workshops, National and International Conferences and refresher courses. For his ongoing efforts and enthusiasm in the subject of sericulture, he has received numerous awards like the Young Scientist Award, Best Thesis Award, Excellent Researcher Award, Best Sericulturist Award, Best Teacher Award, Research Excellence Award, etc. His scientific interests include Proteomics, Genomics, and Insect Cytogenetics.
Dr. Suraksha Chanotra is working as a Lecturer in the P. G. Dept. of Sericulture, Poonch Campus, University of Jammu. She acquired her undergraduate and post-graduate degrees from the University of Jammu and her doctorate from the SKUAST-J. She has published 30 original research papers in reputable, cited national and international journals from both India and abroad. She was awarded a recognition certificate for her exceptional work at the M.Sc. level, University Merit Scholarship and an RGNF National fellowship by the Indian govt. For her work and enthusiasm in the subject of Sericulture, she has received numerous awards, including the Young Scientist Award, Best Thesis Award, Excellent Researcher Award, Best Sericulturist Award, etc. In the area of Sericulture, she has also published numerous books and book chapters. She has also frequently attended numerous seminars, conferences, workshops, and webinars and has presented her research findings at more than 15 national and three international conferences. She has also taken part in several training sessions and seminars held by various government, semi-government, and non-profit organisations and scientific agencies. Her specialisation in research is DNA fingerprinting and mulberry plant biotechnology.
Dr. Shahina A. Nagoo is working as Associate Professor cum Senior Scientist at the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir having specialization in Genetics and Plant Breeding. She has more than Fifteen years of teaching and research experience in Agricultural Sciences. She has obtained her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Genetics and Plant Breeding with distinction from the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science and Technology of Kashmir. She has attended several National and International conferences and has published more than 60 research articles in National and International Journals. She has handled many externally funded research projects of the university and has guided many students in their Master’s and Doctoral programs. She has many awards to her credit including the Scientist of the year Award-2020, Research Excellence Award-2020 and Young Plant Breeder Award-2021. She is an Editorial Board Member of many International and National Journals and is presently involved in the teaching, research, and extension program of the university.
Dr. Zafar Iqbal Buhroo is presently working as Assistant Professor cum Junior Scientist, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir from past seven years with more than 10 years of teaching and research experience in the field of Agricultural and Sericulture Sciences. He is experienced in Silkworm Genetics Breeding and Biotechnology. He obtained his M.Sc. in Seri-Biotechnology with Distinction from the University of Mysore in the year 2010 and Ph.D. in Sericulture (Silkworm Biotechnology) from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science and Technology of Kashmir in the year 2017. He has published more than 40 research articles in National and International journals. He has attended several National and International conferences and has presented his research in many National and International conferences. He has also worked as Junior Research Fellow, Senior Research Fellow and Research Associate in the Department of Science and Technology DST, DBT, GoI Sponsored Projects. He was also awarded DST SERB Fellowship in the year 2017. He has recently been awarded Young Scientist Award2020 in the field of Ser-Biotechnology by the Department of Biotechnology, Kalp Laboratories, Mathura-India. He has also been conferred with Research Excellence Award by INSc. Bangalore-India. He is an Editorial Board Member of many International and National Journals. He has guided Four M. Sc. students in the capacity of Major and Co-advisors. He is presently involved in teaching, research and extension programs of the university.

Mr. Abdul Aziz is working in the Jammu and Kashmir Revenue Department. Prior to this, he was employed at the P. G. Department of Sericulture, Poonch Campus, University of Jammu Poonch. He received his graduate and Postgraduate degrees from the University of Jammu. He has published multiple original research papers in reputable/recommended national and international publications. Additionally, he has co-authored a number of books and book chapters. He occasionally attends National and International conferences and seminars, as well as various refresher and certification courses, workshops, and conferences.
Dr. Mohd. Azam earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Jammu, Jammu. He is currently working as the Principal of Govt. CSM Degree College Mendhar, Poonch. As a guest faculty, he has been taking classes of P. G. Sericulture students of Poonch campus, JU, since 2012. He has attended many National and International Conferences and Seminars, as well as various refresher and Certificate courses, Workshops from time to time. He is an active life member of the Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA). He has many research articles to his name that have appeared in reputable national and international journals. Additionally, he has co- authored 3 books and 3 book chapters. His research interests include Human Cytogenetics, Entomology, Sericulture, and the conservation of biodiversity.
