    About Author

    Dr. Jehath Syed, Pharm. D (PB) is a clinical pharmacist specializing in geriatric care. She had graduated in Pharmacy from Savitribai Phule Pune University in 2017 and completed her Doctor of Pharmacy from JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru in 2020. She is a member of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE) and the Cochrane collaboration. She is currently pursuing her Doctoral Research under the guidance of Dr. Sri Harsha in the area of geriatrics to develop a comprehensive geriatric care model to promote and optimise pharmacotherapy and patient safety.

    Dr. Sri Harsha Chalasani, M. Pharm, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Pharmacy Practice, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru and Medication Safety Officer at JSS Hospital, Mysuru. A recipient of DST-INSPIRE fellowship and conducts various Hospital Pharmacoepidemiological studies concerning patient safety. For his work, he has received numerous travels grants to attend and present research papers in international conferences held at Ireland, Oman, Australia, Canada, Prague, Japan, and Denmark and has Three Best Poster awards and over 55 publications to his credit and a certified mentor with Publons (Web of Science). Dr Chalasani is an active member of several professional organizations and currently working on convergence of Artificial Intelligence, Pharmacovigilance, and Geriatric Care to further strengthen the patient safety.

    Dr Prathibha Pereira, MBBS, MD is a Professor & Head in the Dept. of Geriatrics at JSS Medical College & Hospital, Mysuru. Her specialization is in the care and treatment of elderly. Dr Pereira has extensive experience in managing chronic illnesses, promoting healthy aging, and providing support and guidance to older adults and their families. She was instrumental in starting Help age at Mangalore, Geriatric Unit in KMC Mangalore, Department of geriatrics in JSS Medical College, developing NABH EC standards of accreditation and research centre at JSS AHER. Dr Pereira has more than 50 publications to her credit both in national and international journals. She also heads and mentors the Department of Quality, JSS Hospital, along with Centre for Clinical Research Excellence. She is a recipient of numerous awards including “Distinguished Alumni Award,” “Young Scientist Award by API,” “Double Helical Award for Services in Geriatrics” in view of her.

    Dr. M. Ramesh, M. Pharm, PhD is a Professor of Pharmacy Practice at JSS College of Pharmacy, JSS AHER, Mysuru. He has 30 years of teaching and research experience. He has successfully guided 7 PhD scholars and 84 postgraduate & Pharm.D students. He has more than 132 scientific papers to his credit, and published a textbook and authored three chapters in a textbook. He delivered 140 lectures in various conferences. He acted as reviewer for more than 25 international and national scientific journals. Also, he held several positions at various capacities both in scientific and academic bodies. He pioneered in assisting Khartoum College of Medical Sciences (KCMS), Khartoum, Sudan in establishing clinical pharmacy teaching and practice at KCMS and Bashair Hospital, Khartoum, Sudan. Also, he imparted World Health Organisation Sponsored Clinical Pharmacy Training Program to pharmacy teachers from six different universities in Sri Lanka. He received several awards including ‘Weary Dunlop Fellow in Clinical Pharmacy’, ‘Roche Products Fellowship Award’ and ‘Aushada Ratna Award’ for his meritorious contributions. Also, he received three ‘best research publications award’ and received ‘best paper award’ for eight of his research papers.
