The Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi has framed a syllabus of Physical Pharmaceutics-II for the students of B.Pharm 4th semester, 2nd year. Physical Pharmaceutics-I is a syllabus that is studied in 3rd semester.
This Physical Pharmaceutics-II is also an important subject as it covers the remaining part of Physical Pharmaceutics from 3rd semester. It contains six chapters and the chapters are; Colloidal Dispersions, Rheology, Deformation of Solids, Coarse Dispersion, Micromeretics and Drug Stability. All these chapters are important in the view of learning Pharmaceutics during whole B.Pharm.
This subject deals with the study of various types of dispersion systems, the flow behaviour and law of flow of fluids, elasticity and plasticity in solids, suspensions, emulsions, the flow behaviour of solids or powders, the stability of drugs and methods to stabilize Pharmaceutical Formulations etc.
This book contains easy and simple language with diagrams that make the students to understand the context of what they are learning. Each and every chapter as ends, there are useful question banks for students. They are divided in very short, short and long answer type questions. This will make the students to be prepared well for examination.
Rehan Uddin
He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Sir Madanlal Institute of Pharmacy, Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, India. He has more than 6 years of experience in teaching as an assistant professor. He is pursuing his Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Sciences from B.N. University, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. He has done his M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics. He has written more than 20 books of Pharmacy for B. Pharm & D. Pharm students in English & Hindi languages. He has some paper publications in reputed Journals. He has guided many students of UG for their projects. He has been awarded with the certificate of excellence in reviewing in Journal of Pharmaceutical Research International and Journal of Complementary & Alternative Medical Research. He is also a Board Member of World Biologica as a reviewer.
Mukesh Kr. Pathak
He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Sir Madanlal Institute of Pharmacy, Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is having 11 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor. He has done his M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics and also pursuing his Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He is twice GATE qualified with 96.66 and 95.97 percentile and twice GPAT qualified. He has published 5 research/review articles in peer reviewed National and International journals and presented various papers and posters in conference of repute. During his teaching profession he has guided many M. Pharm & B. Pharm students for their projects.
