This book is an outcome of my vision to find out the best concise matter of Medicinal Chemistry for B. Pharm, Second Year, IV Semester students as per the revised syllabus of the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and other universities following PCI syllabus. This subject deals with the history and development of medicinal chemistry along with physiochemical properties in relation to biological action. This subject is designed to impart a fundamental knowledge on drug acting on Central nervous system and autonomic nervous system, included adrenergic neurotransmitters, adrenergic antagonist and cholinergic neurotransmitter. It facilitates the students to understand the subject more easily and interestingly.

Dr. Prashant Kumar Katiyar currently working in Kanpur Institute of Technology and Pharmacy, Kanpur as Professor. Author has awarded Ph.D. from Career Point University, Kota, Rajasthan in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He has more than 15 years of teaching experience in different pharmacy colleges in Gujarat, UttarPradesh, and Maharashtra. Author has published 18 papers in various National and International Journals and Chapter under trademark of Elsevier publication along with presented number of papers in different conferences and has two books on his credit under various publications. He has received grant from University of Mumbai. Author received “Global Teacher award 2020” by AKS education. He is life member of various Association related to Pharmacy field.
Dr. Shriram Bairagi is Assistant professor and HOD of Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Ideal College of Pharmacy and Research, Kalyan, Mumbai University, India. He obtained his Ph.D. from Career Point University, Kota, Rajasthan. He obtained his Master and Bachelor's degree from Pune University. He has more than 12 years of experience in teaching as well as in the research. He teaches Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry to the B. Pharmacy students. He has more than 25 research and review articles published and has two books on his credit. He is the potential reviewer of Elsevier and other journals and also on the editorial board member of many journals. He was awarded by research grants from University of Mumbai. He was invited as Jury member for the national level poster presentation. He is member of several national and international professional societies.
