The book attempts to incorporate recent concept of Dental Caries while at the same time not losing the sight of basics, therefore, making the study on Dental Caries easier and interesting. The main feature of this edition is a new format wherein the flow charts and photographs are in plenty to help the students undertake review and revision. This book would not have been possible without the help and motivation of our teachers and colleagues. Dr. Rishu Mittal
Is working as Medical Officer (Dental) with Health Department Haryana and completed her Post Graduation in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at J. N. Kapoor DAV (C) Dental College,Yamunanagar. She had completed her graduation From Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences & Hospital, Chandigarh. She has been a meritorious student who has topped all her exams at the school level. and has also been awarded Gyan Nidhi Scholarship during her under-graduation.
During her Post-graduation, she has attended many conferences at both the state and national level and has been awarded the best paper presentation three times at the national level conference.
She had also been invited as guest lecturer by Lions Club, Chandigarh and received certificate of appreciation for delivering lecture on oral health awareness.
She has worked as a Medical Officer Incharge at Primary Health Center level and has undergone many trainings at the state level. She had independently organized many dental check-up camps at the rural area for creating oral health awareness. Learning is a never-ending journey for her and she believes that one should take the advantages of their opportunities to learn every day.
Prof. (Dr.) Saurabh Gupta
A full-time regular academician in Post-Graduate Institute for last 15 years and is presently serving as Professor in the Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics at D.A.V. (c) Dental College and Hospital, Yamunanagar. He has done his Graduation as well as Post-Graduation from Nair Hospital Dental College, Mumbai, University of Mumbai, Maharashtra. He has cleared All India Entrance Examination twice, both for BDS and MDS. He has been invited as External Examiner for the BDS University Exam. and Guest Faculty at SSR medical college, Belle Rive, Mauritius in year 2011. He had been a part of team at World Dental Show in Mumbai, which made an entry into the Guinness Book of World Records. Besides having a lot many International and National Publications and Paper Presentations to his credit, he has held several positions at various levels. He has also delivered Keynote Lectures on various topics at various places. Teaching is a passion for him with the prime goal of improving knowledge and clinical skills among dental students and practitioners.
