    Prof. (Dr.) K.B. Asthana

    Presently, he is working as a Dean-cum-Professor of Law in Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida. He was Dean Cum Professor of Law in Chanderprabhu Jain College of Higher Education and School of Law. He was Director and Professor of Law of Kasturi Ram College of Higher Education affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Dwarka New Delhi, with rich experience in Law and Management teaching. He has completed his LLB from Barkatullah University. He did his LL.M. from Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, in Business Laws. He did his dissertation in Banking Law and non-doctrinal project on “Sanitation Condition around the Jodhpur area”. Further, he did his research in the field of Banking Law on the topic of “Impact of SARFAESI Act, 2002 on Non-performing assets in Banking System: A critical study”.

    He is having vast experience in law teaching especially in Family Law, Human Rights, Law Justice and Information, Right to Information, Private International Law, Company Law, Banking Law, Corporate Laws, Business Laws, Election Laws, etc.

    He has written two books and many chapters in different edited books. He has presented many research papers in National and International Seminars /Conferences nearly more than 55 articles are published in different National and International journals and conference proceedings. He has guided and supervised many dissertations of GGS IPU, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, and Kurukshetra University. Some of the projects/dissertations were focused on Medical Negligence, AIDS victim’s legal rights, GST, Domestic Violence, etc. He has coordinated the Research Department of Mewar University, Gangarar, Chittorgarh around one year. He taught to the BA LLB (H) BBA LLB (H), B Tech LLB (IPR and Cyber Law) and LLM students of UPES. He has organized and convened many National/International Workshops, Seminars and Conferences, Moot Court Competition and 4 times Mock Parliament. Presently, nearly 97 RTI applications have filed under his supervision in different areas with State Government/Central Government by B Tech LLB (IPR and Cyber Law) and BBA LLB (H) students. He had been associated as an Editor of the editorial board of CPJ Law journal from 2011 to 2015 and Corporate Law Journal of University of Petroleum and Energy Studies from 2015–16. Presently, he is Chief Editor of Researchers’ Voice a multidisciplinary annual journal from June 2016 to July 18 and National Law News a fortnightly Law Journal, and IJOSH, International Journal. He is associated with the ‘Talent of India’ magazine since 2011 to till and ‘Nayak Awaz’ magazine, ‘Purvanchal Post’ from Aug 2017 to till date. His approach towards work, with a high level of initiative, reliability, empathy, and determination. He has outstanding communication skills and he believes in teamwork.

    He has been associated with IGNOU for teaching to Certificate in Social Work and Criminal Justice for 21/2years and guided many students related with many projects on AIDS, Domestic Violence, Condition of Beggar in Delhi, Health and Hygiene, etc. Anti-drug Addiction Campaigns in association with NGO Aman Foundation, Bawana Road Swatantar Nagar, Narela, Delhi-40. He is also associated with many awareness programmes such as legal rights of AIDS people; organized by the NGO Nav Kiran Society, Narela, Delhi.

    He has been appreciated by many occasions for organizing events such as Seminars, Conferences, Workshops, Mock Parliaments, etc., from the college management. He has coordinated to conduct of National Seminar organized by the Bar Council of Delhi on the topic of ‘Welfare of Lawyer’ the then chairman of BCD Sh. R.S. Goswami appreciated and commended and also appreciated for conducting a National Seminar on 25 years of economic reforms by the Ministry of MSME, TDC (PPDC), Agra.
