This book has specifically been written for the students who enter to the clinics and are supposed to make complete dentures for edentulous patients. There is no doubt that impression making is one of the most vital steps of complete denture fabrication hence thorough knowledge of impression making is a must. Most of the presently available books of complete dentures cover full procedure of complete denture fabrication and they lack detailed description of critical steps of impression making due to limited space. Also, these books tend to focus on newer materials and techniques with little emphasis on those traditional materials which are routinely used in clinics; though, in all dental colleges of India the clinical teaching of the dental students starts with old techniques and materials. This book discusses the application of both old and new materials and techniques with sufficient number of photographs as to give a clear understanding of impression making to the students. This book is in the form of hand book hence it is easy to carry it into the clinics also.
Dr. Nadeem Yunus is currently Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia, Islamia, New Delhi. He did his graduation and post graduation from King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow. Dr. Yunus has 15 years of teaching and research experience. He has several research publications to his credit in the national and international journals. Also, he has delivered a number of lectures as guest speaker and presented research papers in various medical and dental national conferences of repute.
